Met Gala 2019: Costumes which Impressed on the Red Carpet

The Oscars of fashion, Met Gala takes place on the first Monday of May, which this year fell on May 6. The biggest event on the fashion fundraising calendar happens in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

The night of glitters, stars, and cocktails have a unique theme every year and this time it was, Notes on “Camp”, which posited different ways in which the concept could be construed.

The guests walk the red carpet in their eccentric avatar before sitting down to dinner and the evening’s performance.

Here are the stars which made a huge impression with their extraordinary outfits-

The actor brought a copy of his face with him onto the red carpet. I think it was the best accessory of the night. Jared Leto wore red color high-neck gown designed by Alessandro Michele.

The lady scintillated everything around her. She literally lit up the red carpet by dressing as a full-blown chandelier — yes, a chandelier — from head to toe and truly embraced the theme “Camp: Notes on Fashion.” Look at these candles!

Even her look for after party was also delicious. She dressed up in a Hamburger costume.

Gigi Hadid

Forget costume, look at those eyes. It’s surely one of my favorite makeups of Met Gala 2019.

Cardi B

The rapper was seen in a huge quilted and feathered gown by Thom Browne. The red costume made her take home the award for the most massive train at the 2019 Met Gala.

Janelle Monae

Janelle Monae created the 2019 Met Gala look impressively on the red carpet. Janelle was seen in a Christian Siriano’s balloon-hipped confection with a motorized blinking eye over one breast (a twist of gadgetry supplied by Smooth Technology) costume.

Cara Delevingne

I really like the beautiful rainbow outfit carried by Cara. It is inspired by the Pride movement. Also, look at her headdress! It featured kitsch bananas, fake teeth, and fried eggs. Also, she had a rainbow stick in her hands! Well the dress really impressed.

Ezra Miller

Look at this seven eyed face. The actor and singer showed a dizzying—and campy—illusion. Vancouver-based makeup artist Mimi Choi created multiple sets of eyes on his face.
