Far, far from the hurly-burly of Delhi, Amritsar is a perfect combination of food, traditions, history, and culture. The place is glorified with lots of greenery and peace. It is home to the Harmandir Sahib, popularly known as “the Golden Temple,” so when you are in Amritsar this is the first thing you need to do.
My visit to the Golden temple was serene. The mere sight of this temple is literally a treat to the eyes and the calm surrounding of the place is relaxing. Sitting near the Sarovar of the temple made me forget every muddle and brought the inside peace out. Don’t forget to miss the early morning chanting of Guru Granth Sahib for relaxing your mind. And don’t miss the night view of the Golden Temple, it will make your eyes scintillate and bring joy on your face just it did to me! Also, one should try the langar as well as the holy communion of the Gurudwara.
Next thing which you must do is have mouth-watering food of the Amritsar Dhabas. Trust me your trip is incomplete without it. You can easily find many Dhabas near Golden Temple where you can try some lip-smacking dishes. According to me, the specialty of the Dhabas is the smell of Desi Ghee and the awesomeness of world-famous Lassi can make your day. I tried food of Brother’s Dhaba and Bharawan da Dhaba. I really liked the quality as well as the quantity of food. It actually felt that the food was made of pure Desi Ghee. Besides, Kulwant Kulche Wala is also a nice place to explore quintessential Kulchas with Amritsar Chutni and Chole. Amritsar is really rich in food, it was EPIC!

Moving forward, Partition Museum is also one of the places to explore. It is the right place to enhance your knowledge. History lovers, it is one right place for you. Visiting there actually enhanced my knowledge.
Besides, Hall Bazaar is also one hot spot to have a good time shopping time in Amritsar. Amritsar is famous for things like Punjabi jutti, papad, and quintessential masalas used to bring flavors in food.
Travel, travel wherever you want… I am sure you will return all smiles and that’s the power of traveling!
